matter, after golfers watched in profound disbelief at the sighting of a huge, green sea monster as it lumbered toward shore. However, it did not take long for horror to overtake disbelief once it became clear that the sea monster was none other than Godzilla! Havoc broke out as putts were missed, errant T-offs beaned fellow golfers and easy chip shots flew into the rough.

Witnesses gave varying accounts. One witness, Mortis Fastflite of Tsunami Falls, was stunned at the sheer size of the hideous monster which towered over the coast cliffs. Mr. Fastflite later recalled that his attention was first turned toward Godzilla when he heard the deafening "groink". Godzilla's scaly green torso seemed to float slowly, but purposely toward shore. Amazement turned to "horror after seeing those long, lethal talons of the creatures stubby, waving, slashing arms." It was then that he realized that he was imperiled by Godzilla, not just some large sea enemy. He immediately fled the golf course in his golf cart, pedal to the metal. He has no recollection what became of the rest of his foursome.

Another witness, Garble Kamsnap, a female employee of the clubhouse, bravely overcame her paralyzing shock at the sight of Godzilla and quickly snapped a few photos (links below). Unfortunately, her recollection of most of the event was largely incomprehensible due to a subsequent faint.

A flood of calls were made to authorities describing the sighting of Godzilla, who ridiculed callers and largely failed to respond. One patrol car near the golf course, however, did cruise by, but was blocked from entering the clubhouse driveway by a mass of terrified humanity in whining golf carts crushing the entrance and colliding with each other in their attempts to flee. Officers saw nothing and filed no report.

The question remains - where in the world will Godzilla show up next? An even more nagging question is: why California and why Half Moon Bay? Only Godzilla knows!
